About the project
The “Ecomap” project is the intellectual property of the Public Foundation “EcoMiR”, Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek. The project is non-commercial and does not aim to generate profit for the foundation, its chairman, founders, and/or members of its Supervisory Board.
This map operates 24/7/365, collecting and displaying environmental incidents recorded by the project’s regional coordinators.
All environmental incidents are accompanied by photo and video documentation, a textual description of the event, and geographical coordinates.
The project is implemented by a consortium led by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, in partnership with the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, the environmental movement “BIOM”, and the women's association “Alga”.
